Fire Risk Assessment
The
government, under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 has
replaced most fire safety legislation with one simple order. Any
person that has some level of control in premises must take reasonable
steps to reduce the risk from fires and make sure people can safely
escape if there is a fire. This assessment must be recorded if there
are more than five employees.
1 Day Fire Marshal Course (Practical Included)
All of our
Fire Safety courses are designed to help you to comply with the
Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. Changes in fire safety
legislation during 2006 have seen the issue of fire safety
certificates cease and the placing of more responsibility on the
employer to take fire safety precautions.
This course
is suitable for a nominated person when an employer has carried out a
risk assessment and has identified the need for a fully qualified fire
marshal to conduct staff training in compliance with statutory
requirements.
˝ Day Fire Fighting Course (Practical)
This is a
‘hands on’ course providing practical experience in fighting real
fires and learning about the use of essential fire safety equipment.
By law, all
organisations must have sufficient fire fighting equipment on the
premises e.g. extinguishers and fire blankets. Crucially, you will
need suitably trained staff to know which type of extinguisher to use
dependant upon which type of fire is involved.
3 hour Basic Fire Safety Awareness Course
This course
provides essential insight into recognising the importance of fire
safety and assisting in fire prevention.
Increasing
awareness of fire safety and prevention in the workplace saves lives.
Basic training for all staff is the single most cost effective measure
an organisation can take to reduce the risk of fire related accidents.
˝ Day Fire Safety Awareness Course
Where
facilities are unsuitable for using fire fighting equipment, the ˝ day
Theoretical course provides the ideal alternative.
Studies of
the way people behave in fire situations are a relatively recent
development and will provide delegates with the techniques required to
ensure their colleagues follow the safety procedures and instructions
issued by Fire Marshals and support staff. Managing the unpredictable
nature of human behaviour can make a crucial difference in saving
lives.

contribute towards a safe environment by providing trained emergency
response.
